#Resilience tip 6: Speak-out and Share

There is a certain loneliness in being a founder.

From the many founders we’ve spoken to about mental well-being and dealing with everything that’s on your plate as a  founder, a common theme was having to deal with everything by themselves.

In particular in more challenging times they experience a certain isolation, or perhaps better defined as self-isolation. They kept their thoughts and struggles to themselves.

Partly  due to the weight of decision-making, or the belief that it’s just part of the journey. They dismiss their struggles as temporary and insignificant. Some founders worry that sharing their concerns might be seen as a sign of weakness.

But speaking out helps:

• Clear your mind – Organise your thoughts by saying them out loud to reduce mental clutter.
• Gain fresh perspectives – Others might offer solutions you hadn’t considered.
• Clarify priorities – Talking things through sharpens focus on what really matters.
• Challenge limiting beliefs – Spot and break patterns of self-doubt holding you back.

Who’s in your circle to hear you out? And how do you break the pattern to not isolate yourself?
